It's always fun to have a snow day on a Tuesday. Breaks the week up a bit and allows for some unstructured time together. We got (by my scientific measurement) 10.5 inches of snow in about 9 hours- the picture above was taken before the snow ended. This was the biggest snow this part of MO has gotten in a few years. It was perfect. No ice, light and fluffy, huge flakes, accumulated quickly.

I just love to see Texas plates on a vehicle with this much snow. Almost looks fake to me. Did I tell you this all fell in about 9 hours?
Joseph went to work and we were joking that the meteorologists got it all wrong. There was barely a dusting on the ground when he left for work around 8 am. This picture was taken around 3 pm.
Ian went out and took a few pictures for me. My ski bibs are packed away because it's March! This one is a bit out of focus, but can you see the message Ian left for us? Need a hint? Ian is our romantic six-year-old!
Joseph got home and started shoveling. It took him a long time to shovel the drive and side walks, but we've learned to not drive on it till it's shoveled or it's much harder. Part of his time was spent building an igloo with the kids. Isn't he great!?!
