Butterfly Clones

We celebrated Halloween in Branson. That evening a stomach bug began moving through our family. We went trick-or-treating at a local mall and Joseph came later with Ian because he'd been at home getting acquainted with a puke bucket. Gross? Yep. Sorry. But he REALLY wanted to trick-or-treat.

So Joseph and Ian arrive about 45 minutes after Evan, Heather, myself and the six other kids. There were LOTS of young kids there. Shortly after Joseph and Ian arrive to trick-or-treat Ian has his last bout with the stomach bug... right there by some old dude's Buick. We tried not to get it on his bumper. Sorry old-dude-who-drives-a-Buick. Your next car wash is on us!

Here's Ian. Not feeling 100%. Not feeling 70%. But he was such a good sport about letting me snap a couple pictures.

I told Bobby right before taking his picture to pretend he cut this tree down with his lightsaber and he quickly informed me that Star Wars Clone Troopers don't carry lightsabers. What was I thinking?!? Isn't he cute! This is the first year we bought costumes-- ever. They were really proud.

Last year we made costumes  and they were Obi-Wan, Young Anaikan and Princes Leia.

2007

Gini Lu wanted to be a butterfly. I like to stick with themes (like above), but she asked several times to be a butterfly so we didn't press the matter. She wore makeup- which is rare- actually never happens, so she felt particularly beautiful and VERY proud!

Gini Lu and cousin Allison- the pirate- had a blast together.

Sisters Emma and Addie were snow princesses.

Trey was a snuggly little bear.

A childhood friend is a student at C of O and she met us to trick-or-treat. Katie snuggled with the bear-- lots! He didn't seem to mind too much either! Thanks for meeting up with it Katie! It was great seeing you again. But, let's not wait 20 years this time!

Halloween was great fun but the stomach bug Ian had hit Bobby, Joseph and myself on Saturday morning, so it's nice to look back at the pictures since it was soon forgotten.
