Mission Completion!

Mission Completion! is something both the boys say when they are playing their imaginary games. It's pretty cute. Bobby just completed preschool and Gini Lu gymnastics. Mission Completion! Ian is done with Kindergarten on Friday.

Much to my disappointment Bobby is out of school. I could have handled him going a couple more weeks! He's already bored at home and wants something fun to do. Silly boy! He needs constant mental stimulation. He's not like his momma.

So here are a couple of videos of Bobby at preschool graduation. He was really proud- as though you need me to tell you that when his picture speaks much louder. In June he will attend a summer course that helps get him ready for Kindergarten through the public school district. It's called Ready! Set! Kindergarten! and it is M-F 8 am to Noon. One week in June he will attend a day camp that runs from Noon till 3:30 and it is about problem solving and science and is called Mad Science. They'll learn about DNA and they are hoping for a murder to solve. (I'm going to let their teachers break the bad news to them that there's not going to be a murder! Too much Hank the Cowdog, I guess. Lots of chickens get murdered by coyotes and Hank is the mystery solver every time.) Ian is taking the same Noon to 3:30 class and will be doing sports and reading readiness in the mornings.




I just found out about a "camp" for Gini Lu. She'll be going to an activity camp for 3 year olds two days a week during the month of June. Plus, she gets to go with two of her best buddies, Ryder and Caleb. Do you know what this means for me, Suzanne? I will have, 3 hours, two days a week alone for the first time in 7 years! Woo! Hoo! BUT!! WAIT!!! This might not happen since she hasn't even been able to open one present. What's a momma to do?!?

Don't get me wrong! I love these rascals, but I savor silence too! Can't wait to see what it's like to be alone a little while that's scheduled in advance. I'm almost giddy. Te! He!

Gini Lu just had her gymnastics performance. She was so shy when it began she could barely do a log roll. By the end of the hour she was happy to "skin the cat" upside down on a bar to show off for her daddy. She received a gold medal at the end of the hour and was glad to demonstrate her skills. The boys sat very patiently and quietly for the first 30 minutes. During the last half of the class they tried out the balance beam, foam pit, bars, etc.


This helps kids learn to feel safe upside down when doing forward rolls. She loved it!

Summer is already shaping up to be very busy. We'll be headed to Texas (at least once) and Joseph has been invited to go to Argentina for work for a week. We are hoping to make it out to NC for a visit, but not sure how that's going to fit in with summer school for the kids and other plans.
