Pictures

We've had some requests for pictures and wanted to get them to our friends and family. Rather than bogging down your email we're blogging now. Hope this works well!

This is on the way to Bobby's first day of preshool. He loves it but sometimes he says he doesn't want to go (because that's what Ian says!)

Bobby is learning the letters of the alphabet. He started in January so the preschool was well into the alphabet. Monday they will begin Q. Ian is starting to learn coins, value, and which president is on which coin. Gini Lu will likely start preschool in the fall- two days per week. She says, "my school" when we drop Bobby off. You can imagine the frustration this causes Bobby.

There is a beautiful park just 2 miles from our front door called Castlewood State Park. We went there recently on an unusually warm day. We hiked up to what was a high place for the kids. We were able to look over a small river that forks from the Mississippi River. The kids thought it was the best thing ever made.

After our hike down the "mountain" we found Kiefer Creek. There was a fallen tree that would allow us to cross the stream- but we didn't let the kids since it was getting dark. The creek was dry in places and the rocky bottom was easy to walk on. Been told this is a great swimming hole in the summer and we can see why. Not much can be seen here, but it's a great little spot we'd love to take friends. Hint! Hint!

Recently we got to visit a local hospital. You'd think it was for one of the kids, but no. It was for Joseph. He had a little pocket knife accident. The funny part about this is that both Ian and Bobby have pocket knives and Jospeh has been teaching them pocket knife safety. This was a freak accident but thought you'd like to see the carnage! Stop reading here if you don't want to see the bloody finger.

But Joe's finger was good enough for him to shoot stuff up with an old college friend - Ed D. from Rolla, MO.
